At Southern Brazoria County Habitat for Humanity, we believe that everyone can make a difference — and that together, we can build something that lasts.
Volunteers are the heart of our mission. Whether you’re swinging a hammer, sorting donations at the ReStore, helping with events, or offering professional skills behind the scenes, your time and talent matter. When you serve with Habitat, you help local families build homes — and hope.
Because when you help build a home, you’re helping a family build a future. Volunteering with Habitat is:
Hands-on and meaningful — no experience required
Locally impactful — your work stays right here in Southern Brazoria County
Team-friendly — great for churches, schools, businesses, and civic groups
Empowering — you’ll learn new skills, meet new people, and leave knowing you made a difference
Flexible — volunteer once or commit to a regular schedule
Ways to Volunteer
Construction Volunteers
No construction experience? No problem. We’ll train you on-site. Tasks may include framing, siding, painting, landscaping, or cleanup. We welcome individuals and groups.
ReStore Volunteers
Help us sort donations, organize the sales floor, assist customers, or unload trucks. It’s a great way to support our mission without being on a build site.
Event & Office Volunteers
From registration tables and community events to behind-the-scenes admin work, we often need helping hands in non-construction roles.
Skilled Volunteers
Are you an electrician, plumber, HVAC tech, or licensed contractor? Your professional skills can make a huge impact and help us stretch every dollar further.

Our volunteers walk away with more than sore muscles — they leave with pride, purpose, and a direct connection to the people they’re helping.
You don’t need to be a carpenter to build hope. Just show up with a willing heart and a pair of work gloves — we’ll take it from there.
Join Our Mission
The heart of Habitat isn’t the homes — it’s the people. Donors, volunteers, community leaders, and partner families are the engine that drives us. If you believe in giving people a solid foundation to build their future on, there’s a place for you here.
Together, we can build a better Brazoria County — one home, one family, one act of kindness at a time.
