At Southern Brazoria County Habitat for Humanity, we’re more than a housing nonprofit — we’re a movement for change. We bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Since our founding, we’ve empowered local families with the opportunity to build a safe, stable, and affordable place to live. Our mission is simple, but powerful:

Our Vision

A world — and a community — where everyone has a decent place to live. This vision drives everything we do. From construction sites to community events, from fundraising to faith-based service, we are committed to breaking the cycle of poverty housing in southern Brazoria County. Every home we build is a step toward stronger families and a stronger future.

How It Works

Southern Brazoria County Habitat for Humanity doesn’t give away homes. We offer a hand-up, not a handout. Families in our program:

We keep our homes affordable by relying on donated materials, volunteer labor, and community partnerships that reduce construction costs and strengthen our mission.

Local Focus, Global Impact

We are proud to be part of Habitat for Humanity International, a global nonprofit housing organization that works in nearly 70 countries. But our focus is local — right here in Southern Brazoria County, Texas. Every donation, every hour volunteered, every home built stays right here in our community. Whether we’re pouring concrete in Angleton or delivering a roof truss in Lake Jackson, we’re doing it for our neighbors — because we believe everyone deserves a place to call home in the county they love.
