Dow retiree with 30 years of experience in research & development and executive leadership in Freeport, TX and Midland, MI. Became acquainted with Habitat for Humanity as a Dow team volunteer on construction of two homes in inner-city Detroit. Began volunteering with Habitat for Humanity of Southern Brazoria County in 2005 on house build #48. Has held multiple positions with the affiliate including volunteer Executive Director, board president and vice president, purchasing, volunteer coordination, and family selection. Led the establishment of the Building Hope Scholarship, secured funding for the House 100 Disciple Build, and secured the first delivery van for the ReStore. Currently acting as construction volunteer coordinator. Previously served on the Gulf Coast Bird Observatory Board, Brazoria County Child Welfare Board, and Live Oak Clinic Board. Family includes three daughters and one grandson. Interests include birding, traveling, and gardening.
